She is well known for her unique ability to interpret research into simple, easy-to-follow guidelines for busy teachers. Michelle has engineered her professional life to improve the outcomes for individuals with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
Be inspired by Michelle’s story of overcoming dyslexia. “I am dyslexic. At school, I remember feeling as though I was drowning in a sea of letters. I didn’t read a book until I was 16.”
Michelle believes: “Dyslexics are bright, creative thinkers. They have great strengths that should be leveraged against their weaknesses. Dyslexics require explicit, direct and multi sensory instruction. This teaching needs careful planning. I believe that with the right techniques students with dyslexia can make an incredibly positive contribution to our world. I share these techniques in my courses.”
