Dear Members of the Xavier College Community
It is with sadness that I inform you that Mr Adam Lewis, Director of the Senior Campus will leave Xavier at the end of Term 2 2017. We congratulate Adam on being chosen to be the Principal of Loyola School, New York City (a coeducational Jesuit high school in Manhattan).
I know Adam leaves us with mixed feelings. He is very excited at the new opportunity but sad to be leaving Xavier. He can take pride in the fact that he leaves Xavier a better place. I am certain that the Loyola community will benefit similarly due to his presence and leadership. His clear focus has been directed to the wellbeing of the students, their parents and the staff. He has driven high standards and led the pursuit of excellence across all aspects of the educational program. Adam has embodied and engendered the true spirit of an Ignatian leader and has been inspirational and courageous in pursuing the Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles of Xavier College.
We wish Adam, Eadaoin, Isaac, Paddy and Elsie well in their next exciting chapter in the USA.
As you are aware the recruitment process for the appointment of the new Principal is underway. To ensure a seamless process, and after consultation with the Rector and the Chair of Council, we have decided to leave the selection of the new Director of Senior Campus to the new Principal.
Fr Chris Middleton SJ will act as Interim Director of Senior Campus from the beginning of Term 3. I am sure that you will agree with me that this will provide stability for our school in the midst of leadership change.
We will have the opportunity to come together to sincerely thank and farewell Adam and his family before their departure. In the meantime we look forward to continuing the great work of Jesuit education at Xavier College.
