Criteria for Employment at Xavier College

In addition to the specific requirements of a particular position, there is a more general role description that applies to all teaching positions at Xavier College.

Please also consider the following before submitting an application for employment:

• all staff are asked to acknowledge their commitment to the 2012 Child Protection Guidelines.
• all staff appointments are subject to the College obtaining a satisfactory result from a Police check. This process is standard practice for the employment of all new staff at Xavier College and other schools
• all teachers in Victoria are required by legislation to be registered with Victorian Institute of Teaching. Teachers must be registered with the VIT prior to commencing employment at Xavier College
• all staff appointed to the College are expected to fully support the Jesuit ethos of the College .

Information provided by unsuccessful applicants will be kept confidential and held for up to three months, after which it will be destroyed.
