We, staff, parents and students of Xavier, share
both a dream and a unique challenge to become
men and women for others, people of competence,
conscience and compassionate commitment.
We
place a strong emphasis on the growing ability
to reflect and communicate effectively and we
encourage the creative use of the imagination
wedded to clear, logical, articulate reasoning.
We
seek to prepare students to be critically open
to all aspects of our culture and to integrate
faith and reason through bold engagement in the
world. We prize wisdom in our graduates.
We
are committed to building a Christian community
of staff, students, parents and alumni in which
initiative, creativity and the involvement of
all are valued.
We
strive at Xavier, to give students a desire and
the requisite preparation, to serve God in the
world and to have, especially, a committed and
practical concern for the poor. We look to the
formation of potential leaders who will make an
explicit connection between their Christian faith
and their work for justice in the world, serving
the vision of the Beatitudes.
